Katta Ravi Teja, IAS Appointed as New Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner

The Tamil Nadu government has appointed IAS officer Katta Ravi Teja as the new Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation. Incumbent Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran has been promoted and posted as the District Collector of Ramanathapuram.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has appointed IAS officer Katta Ravi Teja as the new Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation as part of a major administrative reshuffle involving several IAS officers across the state.

The appointment comes following the promotion of the current Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, who has been posted as the new District Collector of Ramanathapuram.

The transfer is part of the state government’s latest round of IAS postings and promotions aimed at strengthening district and urban governance across Tamil Nadu.

Officials said the transition is expected to take place shortly, with Katta Ravi Teja assuming charge as the new Corporation Commissioner in the coming days.
