Union Government Shatters Medical Dreams of 22 Lakh Students Through NEET Irregularities

Multi-Faith Harmony Movement demands cancellation of NEET examination citing widespread irregularities. Movement leader Haji J Mohammed Rafi alleges question paper leaks and unfair practices affecting 22 lakh students' medical aspirations across India, particularly impacting students from southern states.

Coimbatore: The Multi-Faith Harmony Movement has intensified its demand for the immediate cancellation of the NEET examination, terming it as "modern untouchability" that systematically destroys the medical career aspirations of lakhs of students across the country.

Haji J Mohammed Rafi, President of the Multi-Faith Harmony Movement, stated that the organization has been conducting various protests against the NEET examination system introduced by the Union Government. He emphasized that this examination has become a tool of injustice in the medical education sector.

The movement leader highlighted several serious irregularities plaguing the examination system. "Question papers are being leaked before the examination, particularly in northern states. Students are being asked questions that are not covered in their textbooks. These malpractices have turned NEET into an unfair assessment system that favors certain regions over others," Rafi alleged.

Expressing deep concern over the recent exposure of irregularities in NEET examinations, Rafi questioned the extent of malpractices that might have occurred in previous years. "When we think about where all these irregularities might have taken place in the past, and how the Union Government has plundered the livelihood and medical dreams of student treasures, our hearts tremble," he said.

The Multi-Faith Harmony Movement leader pointed out that 22 lakh students who aspired to become doctors have had their dreams shattered due to the irregularities in the NEET system. He demanded that all parties involved in these malpractices should be brought under the purview of law and punished severely.

"The NEET examination, which is being conducted with widespread irregularities, should be cancelled immediately. This is not just about one examination but about the future of millions of students who dream of serving society as medical professionals," Rafi emphasized.

The movement has been organizing various protests across Tamil Nadu, advocating for the abolition of NEET on the grounds that it discriminates against students from certain socio-economic backgrounds and regions. The organization maintains that the examination system needs to be replaced with a more equitable and transparent method of medical college admissions.
