CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Today? DigiLocker’s ‘Coming Soon’ Notification Fuels Speculation Among Students

With lakhs of students awaiting their scores and DigiLocker already hinting at the upcoming release, anticipation surrounding the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 continues to grow across the country.

Coimbatore:

The wait for the much-anticipated CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 is expected to end soon as fresh developments on DigiLocker have intensified speculation surrounding the result announcement. Students and parents across the country are closely monitoring official platforms after DigiLocker began displaying a “Coming Soon” notification for CBSE Class 12 results, indicating that preparations for the declaration are underway.

According to the latest update from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the results are expected to be announced in the third week of May. Although there has been no fresh official confirmation regarding the exact date and time, recent evaluation updates and activity on digital platforms have significantly raised expectations of an imminent announcement. Adding to the speculation, CBSE released the Class 12 results on May 13 in the last two years, leading many students to believe the results could be announced anytime soon.

In recent years, CBSE has typically declared Class 12 results between 12 PM and 2 PM IST, although the board has not followed a fixed schedule for announcements.

As per the usual procedure followed by CBSE, the first official confirmation regarding the result declaration is expected to appear as a notification on the board’s official websites. Historically, CBSE activates result links on portals and applications approximately 30 to 60 minutes after issuing the official announcement.

Students are advised to regularly monitor official CBSE platforms for updates. Once declared, the results will be available on the official websites — CBSE Results Portal and CBSE Official Website. In addition to the websites, students will also be able to access their results through DigiLocker and the UMANG app.

CBSE is also expected to make digital marksheets available online immediately after the declaration of results. These provisional scorecards can be downloaded and used for college admissions, counselling processes, and verification purposes until the original certificates are issued by schools.

This year, a total of 18,59,551 students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board examinations conducted across 7,574 examination centres nationwide. The examinations for 120 subjects were held between February 17 and April 10, 2026, making it one of the largest school-level examinations in the country.

Among the candidates who appeared for the examinations, 10,27,552 were male students, while 8,31,999 female students took part in the board exams. With the evaluation process reportedly nearing completion in several regions, students are now eagerly awaiting the official declaration of their scores.
