Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Conducts Organic Farming Training on May 13

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Nammalvar Organic Farming Research Centre in Coimbatore is conducting a paid organic farming training on May 13. The training fee is Rs 750. Farmers can register by calling 0422-2455055. Practical demonstrations on organic farming protocols, weed management, and pest disease management will be provided.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Nammalvar Organic Farming Research Centre in Coimbatore is organizing a special training programme on organic farming on Wednesday, May 13. This one-day training is being conducted on a paid basis for farmers.




The training programme will feature comprehensive lectures on key topics including fundamental principles of organic farming, organic weed management, organic pest and disease management, organic fertilizer management, organic certification processes, preparation of organic inputs, and marketing of organic produce. Additionally, field-based practical demonstrations will also be conducted, according to the research centre administration.




Farmers interested in attending this training must pay a fee of Rs 750 including GST. Those wishing to register can contact the telephone numbers 0422-2455055 or 0422-6611206 to enroll their names.




Farmers can also register by directly visiting the Nammalvar Organic Farming Research Centre to participate in this training programme, as requested by the Professor and Head of the research centre. This training programme is expected to help promote organic farming and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
