SP Velumani Campaigns for AIADMK Candidate Lakshman Singh in Valparai; Promises Revival of Welfare Schemes

Former Minister SP Velumani campaigned for AIADMK candidate Lakshman Singh in Valparai constituency, criticizing DMK for stalling tourism initiatives. He assured voters that welfare schemes from the previous AIADMK regime would be revived if the party returns to power in the upcoming elections.

Coimbatore: Former Minister and senior AIADMK leader SP Velumani actively campaigned in the Valparai constituency in support of party candidate Lakshman Singh, making strong promises to revive welfare schemes if AIADMK returns to power.

During his campaign trail, Velumani launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK government, accusing it of deliberately stalling tourism development initiatives in the picturesque Valparai region. He emphasized that the hill station had immense potential for tourism growth, which was being neglected under the current administration.

The former minister assured the voters that all welfare schemes and development programs that were successfully implemented during the previous AIADMK regime would be restored and expanded. He specifically mentioned that the AIADMK government had introduced several beneficial programs for the plantation workers and residents of Valparai, which had been discontinued after DMK came to power.

Velumani highlighted that during the AIADMK tenure, special attention was given to infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, and educational opportunities in the hill areas. He promised that these initiatives would be revived with renewed vigor if the party gets the people's mandate.

Campaigning alongside Lakshman Singh, Velumani urged the voters to support AIADMK to bring back the era of effective governance and people-centric administration. He expressed confidence that the constituency would overwhelmingly support the AIADMK candidate in the upcoming elections.

The campaign gained significant traction among local residents, particularly plantation workers who recalled the welfare measures introduced during the previous AIADMK government.
