Coimbatore: Ahead of Vishu, the Malayalam New Year festival, 15 tonnes of vegetables and fruits have been exported from Coimbatore to Sharjah over the past five days, according to airport sources.

Coimbatore airport operates direct flight services to Singapore, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Speaking about this, airport sources said that usually garments, industrial products and food items are booked and exported from Coimbatore to Sharjah.
