Actor-politician R. Sarathkumar urges voters to back Vanathi Srinivasan for strong leadership and a fearless voice.

Sarathkumar carried out an intense, multi-location campaign across the Coimbatore North Assembly constituency in support of BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan, who is currently hospitalised due to ill health.

Coimbatore: With BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan admitted to hospital due to ill health, actor and BJP functionary R. Sarathkumar carried out an intensive campaign today across various parts of Coimbatore in support of her.

He undertook a multi-location campaign in areas including Vadavalli, P.N. Pudur, and Seeranaickenpalayam under the Coimbatore North Assembly constituency, standing in an open vehicle and directly interacting with the public while seeking votes.

Speaking during the campaign, he said that to ensure the victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), people should vote for Vanathi Srinivasan on the Lotus symbol so that Edappadi K. Palaniswami can become the Chief Minister once again. He pointed out that due to Vanathi Srinivasan’s health condition, her son Adarsh has been accompanying him and actively campaigning on behalf of his mother.

Sarathkumar stated that he has been campaigning continuously for the past five days and is witnessing a strong wave of support everywhere. He praised Vanathi Srinivasan for her performance as an MLA in the constituency, describing her as a bold and outspoken leader who raises issues fearlessly.

Criticizing the DMK government, he alleged that the administration lacks proper planning and is consistently blaming the central government for not providing funds. He said this government should be removed, calling it a “compulsion of the times.” He further claimed that the rise in drug culture has led to an increase in crimes, particularly sexual violence against women, under the current regime.

On the issue of delimitation, he said the DMK is spreading false information that Tamil Nadu will be affected. He argued that the number of constituencies could increase from 39 to 50 and questioned why there is opposition to providing 33% reservation for women, stating that such a move would empower women significantly.

He also highlighted several initiatives of the central government, stating that funds amounting to ₹11 lakh crore have been allocated. He mentioned that 16 Vande Bharat trains are currently in operation and that ₹6,000 is being directly credited to the bank accounts of around 50,000 farmers as financial assistance.

Further, he said that the Prime Minister has been consistently promoting Tamil language and culture across the country and globally. He cited examples such as the translation of the Thirukkural into 13 languages and the organization of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam as efforts that bring pride to Tamil heritage.

Concluding his speech, Sarathkumar appealed to the voters to cast their votes in favour of the NDA candidate and ensure massive victory.
