Coimbatore: Railway passengers travelling from Coimbatore are advised to plan their journeys carefully as several trains will face delays and cancellations in mid-April due to track upgrade work at Valayar, which falls under the Palakkad Railway Division.

According to an official statement released by the Palakkad Railway Division administration, track improvement work is scheduled to be carried out at Valayar section, which will impact train operations on specific dates in April.

The Coimbatore-Mangaluru Central train (No. 16323) will depart 25 minutes late on April 11 and 14. The Palakkad-Tiruchirappalli Express (No. 16844) will leave 20 minutes behind schedule on April 11, 14, and 19.
