Coimbatore: The District Collector's office has imposed a ban on four-wheelers to Marudhamalai Subramaniaswamy Temple on Tamil New Year Day, considering the large influx of devotees expected on April 14.

According to a press release issued by the District Collector's office yesterday, the restriction has been put in place keeping in mind the anticipated heavy crowd of devotees visiting Marudhamalai Subramaniaswamy Temple to celebrate Tamil New Year.

Devotees will not be permitted to travel to the hilltop temple in four-wheeler vehicles. However, they can access the temple by climbing the hill steps or by using the temple buses arranged for their convenience.

The announcement stated that K. Vimala, Joint Commissioner of Marudhamalai Subramaniaswamy Temple, is making necessary arrangements for the festival. The temple administration is preparing to manage the crowd efficiently while ensuring smooth darshan for all devotees.
