BJP National Women's Wing President and MLA Vanathi Srinivasan thanked party leadership for nominating her from Coimbatore North constituency. She vowed to defeat DMK and secure NDA victory with alliance support in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Coimbatore: BJP National Women's Wing President and MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has posted an emotional message on social media, expressing her gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunity to contest from Coimbatore North constituency in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
In her post today, Vanathi Srinivasan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Tamil Nadu BJP Election In-charge and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran for giving her the opportunity to contest on behalf of the party from Coimbatore North constituency.
Recalling her victory in the 2021 Assembly elections, the BJP leader said that despite actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan contesting from Coimbatore South constituency, the people of that constituency ensured her victory. She expressed confidence that she would achieve similar success in Coimbatore North constituency this time.
Vanathi Srinivasan vowed to drive out what she called the "evil force" of DMK from Tamil Nadu. She assured that with the support of alliance parties including AIADMK, PMK, AMMK, and DMDK, the National Democratic Alliance would secure victory in the state. "We will rescue Tamil Nadu from the evil force of DMK," she declared in her social media post.
The BJP leader's nomination from Coimbatore North marks a strategic move by the party as it seeks to strengthen its presence in Tamil Nadu ahead of the Assembly elections. Her previous victory from Coimbatore South despite strong opposition has boosted party morale in the region.
