TVK Files Complaint Against Ponraj in Coimbatore, Demands Immediate Arrest for Derogatory Remarks

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's women's wing from Coimbatore South and Suburban North districts filed a complaint with the District Police Superintendent against political commentator Ponraj for making controversial remarks about the party's women executives, demanding his immediate arrest and legal action.

Coimbatore: The women's wing of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) from Coimbatore South District and Suburban North District filed a complaint today at the District Superintendent of Police office, demanding action against political commentator Ponraj for making controversial remarks about the party's women executives.

Political commentator Ponraj's controversial statements about Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's women executives have drawn widespread condemnation. Following this, TVK leader Vijay personally filed a complaint at the DGP office. Subsequently, complaints have been filed by the party's women's wing across all districts.

Accordingly, a complaint was filed at the District Superintendent of Police office in Coimbatore on behalf of the party's South District and Suburban North District units. Under the leadership of Coimbatore South District Secretary Vignesh and Suburban North District Secretary Rajkumar, members of the women's wing submitted a petition demanding action against Ponraj.

Speaking to the media, Vignesh alleged that DMK and its affiliates are making such criticisms because women's support for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is increasing. He emphasized that appropriate action should be taken against those who speak obscenely about women and demanded that Ponraj be arrested immediately and legal action be initiated against him.

The complaint comes as part of a coordinated effort by TVK across Tamil Nadu following party leader Vijay's direct intervention with the state police chief. The party has made it clear that it will not tolerate derogatory comments against its women members and is seeking stringent legal action against the commentator.
