The elections were conducted as the tenure of the current office bearers is set to conclude on March 31. Multiple candidates contested for key positions, making the electoral process highly competitive and drawing considerable attention from the legal fraternity in the city.

For the President's position, advocates Balakrishnan and Raveendran were in the fray. The Vice President's posts saw three candidates competing - Ayyappan, Prabu Sankar, and Thirugnanasambandam. The race for the Secretary position was particularly intense with four candidates - Anantheswaran, Sivasamy Thamizhan, Sudheesh, and Vijayaraghavan - vying for the post.

The election has generated significant anticipation among the lawyers in Coimbatore, with many eagerly awaiting the results. Vote counting is scheduled to take place today, and the results are expected to be announced shortly thereafter.

The newly elected office bearers are slated to assume their responsibilities on April 1, marking the beginning of a new administrative term for the Coimbatore Bar Association.
