Two College Students Killed in Tragic Bus-Bike Collision Near Pollachi

A fatal accident near Pollachi claimed the lives of two college students when their two-wheeler collided with a government bus. The incident occurred at Na.Mu.Sungam, shocking the local community.



Coimbatore: In a tragic incident near Pollachi, two college students lost their lives in a collision between their two-wheeler and a government bus. The accident occurred at Na.Mu.Sungam, leaving the local community in shock and grief.

The victims, identified as Kavya Sri and Sabari, were part of a group of six students from a private college in Coimbatore. The group had embarked on a leisure trip to various tourist spots, including Aliyar Dam and Valparai, on their two-wheelers.



As they were approaching Na.Mu.Sungam near Pollachi, the two-wheeler carrying Kavya Sri and Sabari collided head-on with an oncoming government bus.



The impact of the collision was so severe that both students were killed on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the Aliyar Police rushed to the scene. They recovered the bodies of the deceased students and sent them to Pollachi Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The tragic loss of these young lives has cast a pall of sorrow over the area. Local residents expressed their grief and concern over the incident, highlighting the need for increased road safety measures.
