Over 300 Students Showcase Artistic Skills at Wildlife Week Celebration in Udumalpet

More than 300 students participated in drawing, essay, and speech competitions organized as part of Wildlife Week celebrations at RGM Higher Secondary School in Udumalpet, Tirupur district.



Tirupur: The Wildlife Week celebrations in Udumalpet, Tirupur district, saw an impressive turnout of over 300 students from schools and colleges in the area. The event, held at RGM Higher Secondary School, featured drawing, essay, and speech competitions centered around wildlife conservation.



The program was organized jointly by the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, Udumalpet Forest Range, Tirupur Forest Division, Ennam Pol Vaazhkai Foundation, and Aranya Foundation. It was conducted under the directive of Devendra Kumar Meena IFS, Deputy Director of Anamalai Tiger Reserve.



Students impressed the audience with their artistic skills, creating vivid depictions of wildlife and forests being destroyed for human greed. They also penned thought-provoking essays on the subject. The Forest Department representatives took the opportunity to educate the students about the importance of wildlife conservation.



Certificates were distributed to the participants of the drawing competition. The event was attended by notable officials including Geetha IFS, Assistant Forest Conservator, Manikandan, Udumalpet Forest Range Officer, Nelson, founder of Ennam Pol Vaazhkai Foundation, and Karthikeyan, Public Relations Officer of RGM Educational Institutions.

The Wildlife Week celebration aimed to raise awareness among young students about the critical need for wildlife protection and conservation, encouraging them to become active participants in preserving nature for future generations.
