Coimbatore: The owner of Abitha Hotel in Kottaimedu, Coimbatore, is currently undergoing treatment for severe injuries following a violent assault by two customers over a dispute about salna for their parotta.

The incident occurred when Kareem and Sameer from G.M. Nagar, Ukkadam, visited Abitha Hotel for a meal. According to reports, a verbal altercation broke out when they demanded salna to accompany their parotta. The situation escalated when the hotel owner, Amanullah, approached them to inquire about their needs.

In the ensuing confrontation, Kareem and Sameer allegedly attacked Amanullah brutally. The hotel owner was pushed and fell against a nearby board, sustaining a deep cut on his head that resulted in profuse bleeding. He also suffered severe injuries to his eye and hip area. Bystanders immediately rushed him to a government hospital for initial treatment, after which he was transferred to a private hospital for further care.
