Tirupur: The Tirupur district administration has taken swift action to provide shelter and food to families affected by a recent firecracker explosion in Pandiyan Nagar. The incident, which occurred during firecracker manufacturing at a house owned by Karthi, caused significant damage to over 20 houses in the area, leaving many families and workers unable to stay in their homes.

Tirupur District Collector Prithviraj, who inspected the area following the accident, assured immediate relief measures for the affected individuals. Acting on this promise, the district administration and police department have accommodated more than 30 displaced persons in a private marriage hall in Pandiyan Nagar.

The authorities have ensured the safety and comfort of those affected by providing them with food, clothing, and blankets. Some residents have found temporary shelter with their relatives, while migrant workers from other districts and northern states, who couldn't relocate to relatives' homes, have been housed in the marriage hall.

The district administration has stated that alternative accommodation arrangements will be made for those staying in the marriage hall. They have also announced that recommendations for compensation will be made for the damaged houses.

In a heartening display of community support, local residents have voluntarily come forward to assist the victims. They are providing food, clothing, and other essential items to help those who have lost their belongings in this unfortunate incident.

The district administration's prompt response and the community's spontaneous support have provided some relief to the affected families as they cope with the aftermath of the explosion.
