Male Body Found Floating in Coimbatore's Valankulam Lake Police Investigation Underway

A body of a 45-year-old man was discovered in Valankulam Lake near Vincent Road, Kovaimedu, Coimbatore around 8 AM. The deceased is suspected to have been mentally ill.


Coimbatore: A male body was found floating in Valankulam Lake located in the Vincent Road area of Kovaimedu, Coimbatore. The incident has caused a stir among the local residents.

Around 8 AM, locals spotted the male body floating in Valankulam Lake. They immediately informed the Ukkadam Police Station. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the scene.

The police recovered the body and sent it to the government hospital for post-mortem examination via ambulance. The police estimated that the deceased might be around 45 years old.

According to local residents, the deceased could have been mentally ill. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

Authorities are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
