Coimbatore Collector Distributes Identity Cards to Sanitation Workers

Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, distributed Tamil Nadu Sanitation Workers Welfare Board identity cards to sanitation workers at a special camp held at the Coimbatore Corporation's main office on September 28. The event was organized to provide guidance for permanent and contract-based sanitation workers to obtain loans under the TAHDCO scheme.



The distribution ceremony took place in the presence of Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS. The camp aimed to facilitate sanitation workers in accessing financial assistance through the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) scheme.



Several officials attended the event, including Corporation Deputy Commissioner K. Sivakumar, City Health Officer Dr. K. Boopathi, Assistant Commissioner Duraimurugan, District Manager (TAHDCO) K. Maheshwari, Zonal Health Officers Gunasekaran and Ranjith, along with other Corporation officials.

The distribution of identity cards is expected to streamline the process for sanitation workers to avail various welfare schemes and benefits provided by the government, enhancing their access to financial support and other assistance programs.
