Coimbatore: The International Convention for Wedding Fraternity (ICWF) 2024, hailed as Asia's largest wedding convention, took place at Raffles and Fairmont Jaipur from September 20 to 22, 2024. This premier event brought together industry pioneers, thought leaders, and emerging talent to shape the future of India's wedding industry.

Reshma Srijay of Flora Wedding Planners, Coimbatore, was among the featured speakers at ICWF 2024. She shared the stage with panelists Aashna Parekh from Delhi, Bhawana Charan from Jaipur, and Ashima Arora from Delhi, discussing the theme 'Colors of India'.

Srijay's presentation focused on the distinctive aspects of South Indian weddings, particularly in Tamil Nadu, where eco-friendly practices are deeply rooted in tradition. She emphasized how sustainability remains central to the region's celebrations, despite the increasing grandeur of modern weddings.

The Coimbatore-based wedding planner highlighted various sustainable practices common in South Indian weddings. These include the use of natural materials like banana leaves and flowers, as well as implementing minimal waste strategies. Srijay explained how these weddings strike a balance between opulence and environmental consciousness, preserving both cultural heritage and ecological mindfulness.

The ICWF 2024 provided a platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas and set standards for the future of wedding planning in India. Srijay's contribution shed light on the potential for integrating traditional, eco-friendly practices into contemporary wedding celebrations across the country.
