Petition to Relocate Elevated Ramp on Avinashi Road in Peelamedu

Residents and business owners near Peelamedu-Vilankurichi-Avinashi Road junction have petitioned the Coimbatore District Collector to relocate the elevated ramp, citing public inconvenience and distress.

Coimbatore: Residents and business owners from the Peelamedu area have submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector's office, requesting the relocation of the elevated ramp at the Peelamedu-Vilankurichi-Avinashi Road junction.

The petitioners stated that a large number of people, including the general public attending to essential needs, school and college students, office-goers, and employees of over 2,000 small and large establishments, use the Vilankurichi Road daily. They expressed that the construction of this flyover has caused significant inconvenience and mental distress to all those traveling on the aforementioned road.

In their appeal, the residents emphasized the need to relocate the elevated ramp in a manner that does not adversely affect the public. They urged the District Collector to take necessary action to modify the design and placement of the elevated ramp at the Peelamedu-Vilankurichi-Avinashi Road junction, keeping in mind the welfare of the local community and frequent road users.
