Minister Senji Masthan Predicts Deputy CM Role for Udhayanidhi Stalin

Minister Senji Masthan visited Perur Adheenam in Coimbatore, presented Kalaignar's 100 rupee coin, and discussed Udhayanidhi Stalin's potential future role in the government.

Coimbatore: Minister Senji Masthan visited the Perur Adheenam in Coimbatore and met with Marudhasal Adigalar. During the visit, he presented the recently released 100 rupee coin commemorating Kalaignar Karunanidhi's centenary and received blessings from the Adheenam.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Masthan praised the Perur Adheenam for being an exemplar of religious harmony and for its support in conducting the Classical Tamil Conference. He mentioned that Chief Minister Stalin had sent his regards to the Adheenam through him.

The minister expressed concern over the central government's proposed amendments to the Waqf Board Act. He stated that the entire Tamil community and the unified opinion of the Jamaat are against these amendments. Masthan criticized the central government's approach, saying it seems to be creating differences instead of promoting unity in diversity.

Responding to questions about Udhayanidhi Stalin's potential appointment as Deputy Chief Minister, Masthan drew parallels with how Kalaignar had given M.K. Stalin the local administration portfolio and deputy chief minister position at the right time. He referred to Udhayanidhi as the "darling child of the entire Tamil society" and "Kalaignar's grandson."

Masthan praised Udhayanidhi's hard work in strengthening the party across Tamil Nadu and engaging with youth. He concluded by saying, "Just as Kalaignar did, Stalin will also give Udhayanidhi the responsibility of Deputy Chief Minister at the appropriate time, in recognition of his hard work."
