Two arrested for illegal liquor sale in Kinathukadavu

Police in Kinathukadavu arrested two men for illegal liquor sale on September 17. A total of 260 bottles of liquor were seized from the suspects near TASMAC bars in Kovilpalayam and Mullupadi.


Coimbatore: The Kinathukadavu police have arrested two individuals for illegally selling liquor in the surrounding areas of Kinathukadavu on September 17.

Acting on a tip-off about illegal liquor sales within the jurisdiction of Kinathukadavu police station, officers conducted a patrol operation. During the raid, they seized 120 bottles of liquor from Arumugam, 39, a daily wage worker from Ramanathapuram district, near the TASMAC bar in Kovilpalayam.

In a separate incident, the police confiscated 140 bottles of liquor from Ramesh, 32, a daily wage worker from Pudukkottai district, near the TASMAC bar in Mullupadi. In total, 260 bottles of liquor were seized during the operation.

The police have registered cases against both individuals for engaging in illegal liquor sales and have taken them into custody. This crackdown is part of the ongoing efforts by the Kinathukadavu police to curb unauthorized liquor distribution in the area.
