Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has extended warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 74th birthday. In a message shared on her Facebook page today (Sept. 17), Vanathi highlighted the Prime Minister's numerous achievements and his vision for India's future.

Vanathi noted that Modi is the first Prime Minister born in independent India and has served as a state Chief Minister for over 12 years before becoming the Prime Minister. She praised his efforts in elevating India to become the world's fifth-largest economy and his goal to make India the world's top economy by 2047, when the country celebrates its centenary of independence.

The MLA emphasized Modi's historic electoral success, pointing out that he is only the second Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to win three consecutive Lok Sabha elections. She credited him with transforming Indian politics from a "Congress vs Congress" narrative to a "BJP vs BJP" scenario.

Vanathi highlighted the Prime Minister's focus on providing basic amenities to all citizens, including toilets, cooking gas connections, piped drinking water, electricity connections, and bank accounts for everyone within the last decade. She also praised his efforts in developing infrastructure such as rural roads, highways, expressways, flyovers, tunnels, new railway lines, dedicated freight corridors, new airports, high-speed trains like Vande Bharat and Tejas, new ports, and medical colleges.

The MLA commended Modi for ensuring 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) at all levels and granting constitutional authority to the National Commission for Backward Classes. She also highlighted his focus on industrial growth, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Vanathi praised the Prime Minister's commitment to the principle of "Nation First, Party Next, Self Last" and his efforts to combat dynastic politics. She also mentioned his promotion of Tamil as the world's oldest language on global platforms.

The MLA credited Modi with preventing the Nehru family from returning to power for a third consecutive term and noted his top ranking among world leaders, surpassing those of major powers like the United States, China, and Russia.

Vanathi concluded her message by calling on people to work for the nation in Modi's footsteps and strive to make India the world's leading country.
