DMK Secretary N. Karthik Unveils Statues of Kovai Metal M. Mani and Saraswati Mani in Jayangondan

DMK Secretary N. Karthik inaugurated statues of Kovai Metal M. Mani and Saraswati Mani in Jayangondan, Trichy on September 16. The event also saw the opening of a smart classroom at a government-aided primary school.


Coimbatore: In a ceremony held at Jayangondan (Senghanam) in Trichy on September 16, DMK Secretary and former MLA N. Karthik unveiled the statues of Kovai Metal M. Mani and Saraswati Mani, parents of Kovai Metal M. Raja, the Chairman of Coimbatore District Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Board. Prior to the unveiling, Karthik hoisted the DMK flag, marking the commencement of the event.

The ceremony also witnessed the inauguration of a smart classroom at the Jayangondan Government Aided Primary School by Mr. Vincent Adikaraj, MD of Kovai Jenny Residency and Black Thunder. This initiative aims to enhance the learning experience for students in the area.



The event saw participation from several notable figures, including Kovai Metal M. Raja, Chairman of the Coimbatore District Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Board, along with his wife Vasanthi Raja. Other attendees included R. Deepakkumar, K.L. Venkatesh, and Nivetha. A large number of local residents also gathered to witness the statue unveiling and smart classroom inauguration, underlining the community's involvement in the proceedings.

The unveiling of the statues serves as a tribute to Kovai Metal M. Mani and Saraswati Mani, recognizing their contributions to the local community. The event highlighted the DMK's engagement with local development initiatives and its efforts to honor notable personalities in the region.
