TNCC President Selvaperunthagai Addresses Media at Coimbatore Airport

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President Selvaperunthagai spoke to reporters at Coimbatore Airport, discussing various political issues including Rahul Gandhi's comments, INDIA alliance, and CM Stalin's foreign investments.

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President Selvaperunthagai addressed the media at Coimbatore Airport, touching upon several key political topics. He began by discussing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent comments about Chinese aggression, stating that Gandhi was merely responding to questions from journalists and students.

Selvaperunthagai dismissed calls for an apology from BJP state president K. Annamalai, saying, "Annamalei doesn't need to apologize. The two ladies present there should apologize. He (Rahul Gandhi) is not even in this country now, having traveled abroad. What's the point of him apologizing?"

Regarding Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thol Thirumavalavan's recent statements, the TNCC president said, "What Thirumavalavan said is his party's affair and his opinion. You should ask him about it. As far as we are concerned, the INDIA alliance remains strong and is growing stronger. The INDIA alliance is like a vast ocean; there may be some waves, but eventually, they will subside. He has spoken his party's view, and he has the right to do so. As for the Congress, we remain united with the DMK."

Selvaperunthagai emphasized the strength of the INDIA alliance, saying, "The INDIA alliance cannot be shaken by anyone. It's like our fortress. This alliance will continue 100% as a strong coalition. The DMK, Congress, Periyar Movement, VCK, Communist, Communist Marxist, IUML, Manithaneya Makkal Katchi - we are all united and strong together."

The TNCC president also praised Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's recent foreign trip, which attracted investments of nearly Rs. 8,000 crore. "We welcome this and have issued a statement appreciating it. Tamil Nadu is moving towards becoming a pioneering state in India. We welcome this progress," he said.

Concluding his address, Selvaperunthagai reiterated the Congress party's stance on language policy, stating, "As far as we are concerned, we support the two-language policy. There is no such thing as a three-language policy for us."
