Vanathi Srinivasan MLA: Indian people won't forgive Rahul Gandhi for spreading slander about India abroad

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan criticizes Rahul Gandhi for his comments at the University of Texas, accusing him of spreading misinformation about India abroad and adopting Dravidian model politics for vote bank.

Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South constituency, has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent comments made during his visit to the United States. In a press release issued on September 11, Srinivasan condemned Gandhi's remarks at the University of Texas on September 9.

Srinivasan pointed out that the Congress party ruled India for 55 years out of the 76 years since independence, with 38 years under the Nehru-Gandhi family. She emphasized that Rahul Gandhi, as the fifth-generation heir of this family, has been consistently defeated by Narendra Modi, who comes from a humble background.

The MLA highlighted India's progress in various sectors over the past decade, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and digital technology. She noted that basic amenities like toilets, tap water connections, and cooking gas connections in every household were made possible only during Modi's administration.

Srinivasan accused Rahul Gandhi of adopting Dravidian model politics to harvest minority votes by demeaning Hindu religion and beliefs. She criticized his statement that "India is not a country but a union of states" and his claims about Hindi imposition in non-Hindi speaking states.

The BJP leader also refuted Gandhi's assertion at Georgetown University that there are no Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes in Indian industries. She challenged him to first give decision-making power to non-Nehru family members within the Congress party before criticizing the BJP, RSS, and Prime Minister Modi.

Srinivasan concluded by stating that peace-loving Indian people will not forgive Rahul Gandhi for spreading slander about India in foreign countries.
