Power Outage Announced for Tomorrow in Kavundampalayam Substation Areas, Coimbatore

Electricity Board announces power cut on September 10 from 9 AM to 5 PM in various areas under Kavundampalayam substation due to monthly maintenance work. Affected areas include Nallampalayam, Saibaba Colony, Idayarpalayam, Cheran Nagar, Lenin Nagar, and Sanganoor.


Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced a power outage for tomorrow, September 10, from 9 AM to 5 PM in several areas serviced by the Kavundampalayam substation. This interruption is due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at the substation.

The affected areas include parts of Nallampalayam, Saibaba Colony, Idayarpalayam, Cheran Nagar, Lenin Nagar, and Sanganoor. Residents and businesses in these localities are advised to plan accordingly for the eight-hour power cut.

In Nallampalayam, areas facing the outage include Housing Unit, A.R. Nagar, Thamarai Nagar, Driver's Colony, Chamundeswari Nagar, Suguna Nagar, Union Road, Ashok Nagar, Murugan Nagar, Bharathi Nagar, Dayal Street, Fire Station, Nallampalayam Road, TVS Nagar Road, Gem Nagar, Om Nagar, Amirtha Nagar, Ganesh Layout, Sabari Garden, Ranga Layout, and parts of Maniyakarampalayam.

In Saibaba Colony, the power cut will affect Indira Nagar, Kaveri Nagar, Jeeva Nagar, Kamaraj Street, K.K. Pudur 6th Street, State Bank Colony, Krishna Nagar, Ganapathy Layout, K.G. Layout, Giri Nagar, Devi Nagar, Ammasaikonar Street, Krishnammal Street, NRG Street, and parts of Chinnammal Street.

The outage in Idayarpalayam will impact B and D Colony, E.B. Colony, Poompuhar Nagar, TVS Nagar, Arun Nagar, Annai Amirthananda Nagar, Ramalakshmi Nagar, Valli Nagar, Siva Nagar, and Dakshan Thottam.

Cheran Nagar areas affected include Cheran Nagar, ITI Nagar, Thendral Nagar, Saravana Nagar, Balan Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, Railway Men's Colony, Ranga Majestic, Ramakrishna Nagar, and the Gaundampalayam Water Treatment Plant.

In Lenin Nagar, the power cut will affect Subathal Layout, Shastri Street, Marudakutti Layout, Sampath Street, Periyar Street, V.O.C. Street, C.G. Layout, Nedunchezhiyan Street, and Deivanayagi Nagar.

The affected areas in Sanganoor include Puthuthottam, Kannappan Nagar, Periyar Street, and Karupparayan Kovil Street.

Residents in these areas are requested to take necessary precautions and make alternative arrangements for their power needs during the specified hours.
