Coimbatore: The Election Commission of India has officially recognized actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, leading to celebrations among party members in Coimbatore. In the Sundharapuram area of Coimbatore, TVK party workers are distributing sweets to the public as part of their celebratory activities.

Actor Vijay launched the new political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in February. The party's leader, Vijay, has now officially announced that the Election Commission of India has granted recognition to TVK. With this recognition, Vijay's TVK party has transitioned into a registered political party.
