Two Arrested for Burglary at Engineering Firm in Madukkarai, Coimbatore

Two men were arrested for breaking into an engineering firm in Madukkarai, Coimbatore, and stealing equipment worth Rs. 1 lakh. The burglary was discovered on September 2, leading to swift police action.


Coimbatore: Two individuals have been arrested for burglarizing an engineering firm in Madukkarai, Coimbatore. The incident came to light on September 2 when the owner discovered the break-in and theft of equipment valued at approximately Rs. 1 lakh.

Aseem Manikunnan (35), a native of Ernakulam, Kerala, owns and operates an engineering firm on Market Road in Madukkarai. On September 2, Manikunnan, along with his supervisor Mahendran and an employee named Masood, found the back door of the establishment broken open.

Upon inspection, they were shocked to discover that welding machines, grinding machines, and other equipment totaling about Rs. 1 lakh in value had been stolen from the premises. Manikunnan immediately filed a complaint with the Sundharapuram Police Station.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. They analyzed CCTV footage from the firm, which led to the identification of the culprits. The burglars were identified as Nagoor Deen (30), a driver from Thiruvalluvar Nagar in Kuniyamuthur, and Eashwaran (56) from Kamaraj Nagar in Sundharapuram.

Following the identification, the police swiftly apprehended both suspects. The arrest highlights the effectiveness of CCTV surveillance in solving crimes and the prompt action taken by the Coimbatore police in addressing property-related offenses.
