Uniforms and School Supplies Distributed to Migrant Children at Coimbatore Government School

On September 2, uniforms and school supplies were distributed to migrant children studying at Vellakkinaru Government Primary School in Coimbatore. The event was attended by local officials and politicians.


Coimbatore: In a heartwarming gesture, migrant children studying at the Vellakkinaru Government Primary School in Coimbatore were provided with uniforms and essential school supplies on Saturday, September 2. The distribution event aimed to support these students from other states and ensure they have the necessary resources for their education.

Coimbatore Member of Parliament Ganapathi Rajkumar, along with DMK North District Secretary Tho. Ravi and Coimbatore City Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran, presided over the event and personally handed over the items to the children. The distributed items included uniforms, notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and water bottles.



The initiative demonstrates the local administration's commitment to inclusive education and support for migrant families in the region. By providing these essential school supplies, the authorities aim to create a level playing field for all students, regardless of their background or state of origin.

The event was also attended by DMK Area Secretary Arulkumar, Coimbatore Corporation Councillors, and members of the public, showcasing the community's support for this noble cause. This gesture is expected to boost the morale of the migrant children and their families, encouraging them to continue their education in Coimbatore.
