In Pollachi, the Odaiakulam Village Water Users Association held elections for president and four administrative zone members. All candidates were elected unopposed and received certificates from the election officer.

Coimbatore: The Odaiakulam Village Water Users Association, part of the Pollachi Aliyar Dam Irrigation Project, held elections for the positions of president and four administrative zone members. The association oversees the Kulappathukkulam tank and its feeder channel.

The nomination process for the election took place last Thursday. Visagapathi filed nomination for the president's post, while Neelakandan, Chanduru, Rajamanickam, and Karthikeyan submitted their nominations for the administrative zone member positions.

As no other candidates filed nominations apart from these five individuals, they were all elected unopposed.

The Election Officer, who is also the Sub-Collector of Pollachi, Katherine Saranya, presented the certificates of victory to the newly elected president and administrative zone members, congratulating them on their success.

The Odaiakulam Village Water Users Association plays a crucial role in managing water resources for the local community. The unopposed election of these officials indicates a consensus among the association members regarding their leadership choices for the coming term.
