Mayor K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran Chairs Public Grievance Meeting at Coimbatore Corporation Office

Coimbatore Mayor K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran presided over a public grievance meeting at the Corporation office on August 27, 2024. The meeting addressed 43 petitions from citizens across all zones, covering various civic issues.


Coimbatore: A public grievance meeting was held at the Coimbatore Corporation main office on August 27, 2024, chaired by Mayor K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran. Deputy Mayor R. Vetri Selvan was also present at the meeting.



During the session, 43 petitions were submitted by citizens from various parts of the city. The petitions covered a wide range of issues including requests for birth and death certificates, road facilities, street lighting, water supply, underground drainage, professional tax, property tax, vacant land tax, new water connections, name changes, and matters related to health, sanitation, and education.



The petitions were distributed across different zones of the city: 8 from the East Zone, 8 from the West Zone, 10 from the North Zone, 3 from the South Zone, 10 from the Central Zone, and 4 from the main office. Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran instructed the concerned Zonal Assistant Commissioners, Engineers, and officials to take immediate action on these petitions.

The meeting was attended by several key officials including Deputy Commissioner K. Sivakumar, City Health Officer (in-charge) Dr. K. Boopathi, Town Planning Officer Kumar, and Assistant Commissioners Senthilkumaran (Central), Ilangovan (South, in-charge), Usharani (Accounts), Muthusamy (East), Santhiya (West), and Mohanasundari (Administration). Assistant Executive Engineers, Zonal Health Officers, Engineers, all Corporation officials, and members of the public were also present at the meeting.
