District Tourism Officer Inspects Panchalinga Falls, Receives 18-Point Demand from Temple Trustee

District Tourism Officer Aravind Kumar inspected Panchalinga Falls at Thirumoorthy Hills. Temple trustee ECR Ravi presented an 18-point demand for improvements at the tourist spot on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.


Coimbatore: District Tourism Officer Aravind Kumar conducted an inspection of the Panchalinga Falls at Thirumoorthy Hills to assess the basic amenities required for tourists. During the visit, ECR Ravi, the trustee of the Thirumoorthy Hills Amanalingeswarar Temple, presented an 18-point demand for improvements at the tourist spot on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.

Thirumoorthy Hills, located in the Western Ghats near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district, is home to the Panchalinga Falls, situated at an altitude of 960 meters. The falls are known for their medicinal properties. At the foothills, along the banks of the Palar River, stands the Thirumoorthy Hills Amanalingeswarar Temple, dedicated to the Trinity - Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma.



The area boasts various attractions, including the Thirumoorthy Dam Park, boathouse, swimming pool, aquarium, and a playground. The Tourism Department has been taking steps to develop the dam park and operationalize the boathouse.



After the inspection, District Tourism Officer Aravind Kumar stated, "Panchalinga Falls is a premier and excellent tourist destination in Tiruppur district. About 30,000 tourists visit this place every month. We are conducting surveys to improve the basic facilities at this highly visited tourist site."



During the inspection, ECR Ravi, the trustee of the Thirumoorthy Hills Amanalingeswarar Temple, presented an 18-point demand to District Tourism Officer Aravind Kumar for improvements at the tourist spot on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.



The inspection was also attended by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department staff and tourism enthusiasts Prasad, Naveen, and Santhosh.
