Trainee Doctor's Sudden Death at Madukkarai Government Hospital in Coimbatore

A 29-year-old trainee doctor from Kerala was found dead at Madukkarai Government Hospital in Coimbatore. Police are investigating the cause of death, including the possibility of suicide.



Coimbatore: A tragic incident unfolded at the Madukkarai Government Hospital in Coimbatore as a trainee doctor was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The deceased, identified as Santhosh (29), son of Arunachalam from Attappadi, Kerala, was a second-year postgraduate student at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.

Santhosh, who resided with relatives in Tirumalayampalayam area of Coimbatore, had been working as a trainee doctor at the Madukkarai Government Hospital. On the day of the incident, he arrived at the hospital for his regular duty in the morning. Around noon, he reportedly complained of stomach discomfort to the nurses on duty.

After informing the staff that he would take some medication for his ailment, Santhosh went to the doctors' rest room. When he didn't emerge for an extended period, concerned colleagues checked on him, only to find him unresponsive. They immediately alerted the Madukkarai police.

Upon arrival, the police recovered Santhosh's body and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death, exploring various angles including the possibility of suicide.

The untimely demise of the young doctor has sent shockwaves through the medical community in Coimbatore. As the investigation continues, colleagues and family members await answers regarding the circumstances surrounding Santhosh's sudden death.
