Traffic Diversion Announced for Avinashi Road Flyover Construction in Coimbatore

Coimbatore City Police announce traffic diversions starting August 18, 2024, due to construction of high-level flyover pillars near Hopes College on Avinashi Road. Alternate routes provided for commuters.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Police have announced traffic diversions starting August 18, 2024, due to the construction of high-level flyover pillars near Hopes College on Avinashi Road. The diversions aim to reduce traffic congestion during the construction period.

Vehicles traveling from Gandhipuram to Avinashi Road via Lakshmi Mills SNR Junction and PSG College are advised to take the following route: Turn left at Pioneer Mill Road-Avinashi Road junction, proceed via Gandhi Maa Nagar flyover, Gandhi Maa Nagar junction, Thanneer Panthal Road S Bend, then turn right onto Tidel Park Road and Codissia Road to reach Avinashi Road.

Commuters from R.S. Puram, Tadagam Road, 100 Feet Road, and Sivananda Colony heading towards the airport, Tirupur, Erode, or Salem via Avinashi Road are directed to use Sathy Road, Ganapathy, Vilankurichi, and Kalapatti Four Road to reach Avinashi Road.

Those traveling from Ukkadam and Race Course areas to Tirupur, Erode, or Salem are advised to take the route via Sungam, Ramanathapuram, Singanallur, and Ondipudur to reach L&T Bypass for easier access to their destinations.

The Coimbatore City Police have requested the cooperation of all vehicle drivers in adhering to these traffic diversions to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the construction period.
