Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated a new Rs. 8 lakh kitchen facility at the Government Model School near Kundadam, Tiruppur district. The kitchen, funded by the MLA Development Fund, will benefit over 500 students.

Coimbatore: Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated a newly constructed kitchen facility at the Government Model School in Sedapalayam, near Kundadam in Tiruppur district. The kitchen, built at a cost of Rs. 8 lakhs, was funded through the Dharapuram MLA Development Fund.

The Government Model School in Sedapalayam, which caters to over 500 students, had been functioning without a proper kitchen facility. Recognizing this need, the Dharapuram MLA allocated funds for the construction of a new kitchen. The foundation stone for the project was laid earlier by Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj.

During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj cut the ribbon and lit a traditional lamp to mark the opening of the new kitchen. She then inspected each room of the newly constructed facility. The event was attended by Anbarasu, the Rudravathi Panchayat Union Secretary, who presided over the function.

Several local officials and party members were present at the inauguration, including Panchayat Councillor Arumugam, district representatives Thangavel and Nandagopal, ward representative Ramesh, Ramakrishnan, youth wing members Kanagasabapathi, Viswanathan, Gokulakrishnan, Karthik, and Selvakumar. Teachers and students from the Government Model School also participated in large numbers.

The new kitchen facility is expected to greatly benefit the students of the Government Model School, ensuring that they have access to proper meals prepared in a hygienic environment.
