Man Commits Suicide by Jumping from House Terrace in Coimbatore's Kuniyamuthur

A 35-year-old BE graduate, Yogesh, tragically ended his life by jumping from the first floor of his house in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore. Financial stress reportedly led to this desperate act.


Coimbatore: A 35-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the first floor of his house in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, reportedly due to financial stress.

The deceased, identified as Yogesh, was a BE graduate working in a private company. He lived with his wife Suganya, also 35, and their two children - a daughter and a son.

According to sources, Yogesh had been struggling to manage his family expenses due to insufficient income. This financial strain had reportedly been causing him severe mental distress over the past few days. Overwhelmed by his circumstances, Yogesh attempted suicide by jumping from the first floor of his house the day before yesterday.

Yogesh sustained severe injuries from the fall and was fighting for his life. Shocked family members rescued him and rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. However, despite medical efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The Kuniyamuthur Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. This unfortunate event highlights the critical need for mental health awareness and support systems, especially during times of financial hardship.
