Special Vande Bharat Train Service to Connect Kerala and Bengaluru via Coimbatore

Southern Railway announces special Vande Bharat train service between Ernakulam and Bengaluru Cantonment, running from July 31 to August 26, 2023. The train will stop at Podanur station in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The Southern Railway has announced a special Vande Bharat train service between Ernakulam and Bengaluru Cantonment, passing through Coimbatore. This decision comes in response to the increasing number of passengers on this route.

According to a recent press release from Southern Railway, the special train service will operate from July 31 to August 26, 2023. The Ernakulam-Bengaluru train will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while the return journey from Bengaluru to Ernakulam will operate on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Mondays.

The train will depart from Ernakulam at 12:50 PM and arrive at Podanur station in Coimbatore at 4:13 PM, with a two-minute halt until 4:15 PM. It will reach Salem at 6:33 PM and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 10:00 PM.

For the return journey, the train will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 5:30 AM, reaching Salem at 8:58 AM, Erode at 9:50 AM, Tiruppur at 10:33 AM, and Podanur at 11:15 AM before arriving at Ernakulam at 2:20 PM.
