Mettupalayam Police Station Receives Best Police Station Award in Coimbatore District

Mettupalayam Police Station in Coimbatore district has been honored with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's award for excellence in various aspects of policing, including crime prevention and community awareness.


Coimbatore: The Mettupalayam Police Station in Coimbatore district has been recognized as the best police station in the region, receiving a prestigious award for its outstanding performance. The station was selected based on various criteria, including crime record management, crime prevention efforts, and community awareness initiatives.

The Tamil Nadu government has been presenting the Chief Minister's Award to police stations that excel in multiple aspects of law enforcement. After a thorough evaluation of police stations across Coimbatore district, the Mettupalayam Police Station was identified as the top performer, and a report was submitted to the police headquarters.



In recognition of its exemplary service, the Director General of Police (DGP) recently presented a special award to Inspector Manikandan of the Mettupalayam Police Station. The DGP commended the station for its exceptional work in maintaining law and order, as well as its community engagement efforts.

Following the award ceremony, Inspector Manikandan proudly displayed the accolade to Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, S. Badri Narayanan, who congratulated him and the entire team at Mettupalayam Police Station for their achievement. This recognition serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the police personnel in Mettupalayam, setting a benchmark for other police stations in the district.
