Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Invites Coimbatore Industrialists to Invest in the State

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended a special seminar in Coimbatore, highlighting investment opportunities and incentives for industries in his state, urging Tamil Nadu entrepreneurs to expand their businesses.


Coimbatore: A special seminar titled "Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh" was held today at a private star hotel in Neelambur, Coimbatore. The event, organized by the Industries Department of Madhya Pradesh, aimed to attract industrialists from Tamil Nadu to set up businesses in the central Indian state.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and government department secretaries participated in the seminar, presenting the investment opportunities and subsidies available for industrialists. They also extended an invitation to entrepreneurs to establish industries in Madhya Pradesh.



The seminar provided detailed information about opportunities for industrialists, concessions offered, government assistance, and schemes for industrial development. Representatives from various sectors including textile and knitwear, engineering, automobiles, micro, small and medium enterprises, and information technology from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and other parts of Tamil Nadu attended the event.

In his special address, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav began by greeting the audience in Tamil, saying "Ellorum Vanakkam." He highlighted the similarities between Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh in terms of natural resources, mineral wealth, and culture.



Yadav praised Coimbatore and Tiruppur as centers of the textile industry, attributing their success to the hard work and dedication of industrialists. He mentioned that Tiruppur is a major textile production hub in Asia and highlighted Tamil Nadu's leading position in automobile, engineering, and pump manufacturing.

The Chief Minister emphasized the increasing cotton production in Madhya Pradesh, which is a primary raw material for the textile industry. He also noted the growth in the number of large garment manufacturing companies and the advancement in technical textile production, leading to new job opportunities.

Yadav discussed the implementation of the PLI scheme and PM Mitra Textile Park in Madhya Pradesh, which have contributed to significant growth in the textile sector. He mentioned the implementation of new industrial regulations and increased subsidies, as well as creating a safe working environment for women.

The Chief Minister invited all attendees to participate in the upcoming industrial conference scheduled for February 7-8, 2025, in Gwalior. He concluded by stating that the connection between Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will continue to thrive under Prime Minister Modi's leadership of a progressing India.

During a press conference following the seminar, Yadav expressed his hope that Coimbatore-based industries would contribute to Madhya Pradesh's industrial growth. He clarified that they were not trying to relocate industries from Tamil Nadu but aimed to position Madhya Pradesh as a prime state for industrial expansion. He also mentioned plans to establish industrial offices to foster connections between businesses in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
