DMK Leaders Meet Former MLA N. Karthik to Address Flyover Construction Concerns in Coimbatore

DMK leaders met former MLA N. Karthik to discuss the impact of flyover construction at Vilankurichi Road-Avinashi Road junction on local residents, businesses, and students in Ward 26 of Coimbatore Corporation.


Coimbatore: A delegation of DMK leaders met with former MLA N. Karthik at his office today to discuss the concerns raised by residents, businesspeople, and students regarding the construction of a flyover at the junction of Vilankurichi Road and Avinashi Road in Ward 26 of Coimbatore Corporation.

The meeting was prompted by the severe inconvenience caused to the public, especially those living on Vilankurichi Road, due to the ongoing flyover construction work. The delegation aimed to bring attention to the difficulties faced by local residents, shopkeepers, and students of nearby schools and colleges.

Among those present at the meeting were Chitra Velliangiri, a Marumalarchi DMK Corporation Council member, and Payanigal Thyagu, the Deputy Secretary of Marumalarchi DMK for Coimbatore Urban District. Other attendees included S.P. Velliangiri, the DMK Party Secretary for the Peelamedu area, Duraisenthamilselvan, the DMK Party Secretary for the Peelamedu area, A. Madasamy, the 26th Ward Circle Secretary, Poove Duraisamy, the District Representative, and Satish Kogul, the Circle Party Representative.

The leaders discussed various issues related to the flyover construction and its impact on the daily lives of the local population. They urged the former MLA to take necessary steps to address these concerns and find solutions to minimize the inconvenience caused to the public during the construction period.

This meeting highlights the proactive approach of local political leaders in addressing the grievances of the community and seeking remedies for the challenges posed by urban development projects in Coimbatore.
