Youth Congress Celebrates Kamarajar's Birthday Across Coimbatore

Tamil Nadu Youth Congress Vice President G V Naveen Kumar led celebrations of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar's birthday across various locations in Coimbatore, including flag hoisting, sweet distribution, and student awards.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Youth Congress celebrated the birth anniversary of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar across various locations in Coimbatore. The events were led by G V Naveen Kumar, the State Vice President of Tamil Nadu Youth Congress and a Corporation Council member.



In Kurumbapalayam, a ceremony was held in the presence of S S Kulam Nagaraj, the OBC State General Secretary. The Congress flag was hoisted, and sweets were distributed to the public. Similar flag-hoisting ceremonies and sweet distributions were conducted at the Congress office in Saravanampatti, with Saravanampatti Raghuraman presiding, and at Periyar Nagar in Saravanampatti, overseen by District Secretary Samuel Das.

At Kamarajar Bhavan in Vilankurichi, an event was held under the leadership of Vilavai Gopal.



The flag was hoisted, and floral tributes were paid to Kamarajar's portrait.



The celebrations extended to educational institutions as well.



At the Vilankurichi Government Primary School, sweets were distributed to children.



At the Cheranma Nagar Government Higher Secondary School, cash awards and mementos were presented to students who secured the first and second positions in the 10th and 12th standard public examinations. The top performers received Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively, along with commemorative gifts. All students at the school were also given sweets.



Furthermore, Kamarajar's birthday was celebrated at government schools in Valiyampalayam and Saravanampatti. The events saw participation from various party officials and members including Sundara Sami, Chinnasamy, Shanmugasundaram, Rangasamy, Ranganathan, Balu, Muruganandham, Suresh, Karthik, Murali Krishnan, Vivekanandan, Kalaichelvan, Kasi, Ramalingam, Shanmugasundaram, Manikkam, Ponnusamy, Velusamy, Ravikumar, and Ramesh Kumar.
