MLA Amul Kandasamy inspects house collapsed due to heavy rain near Odaiyakulam

A house in Arivolli Nagar, Odaiyakulam, collapsed due to heavy rain on July 15 night. MLA Amul Kandasamy visited the site on July 16 to inspect the damage and offer assistance to the affected family.


Coimbatore: On the night of July 15, a family including children was sleeping in Senthilkumar's house in Arivolli Nagar, Odaiyakulam, near Anaimalai. Around 2 AM, due to heavy rain, the house collapsed with a loud noise.

Fortunately, the family members, including the children, managed to wake up and escape from the collapsing structure. They narrowly escaped what could have been a tragic incident.



Upon learning about the incident, Valparai constituency MLA Amul Kandasamy visited the collapsed house on July 16 to conduct an inspection. He consoled the affected family and assured them of necessary assistance.

The MLA's prompt response to the incident highlights the local administration's concern for the safety and well-being of residents in areas prone to weather-related damages. The incident also serves as a reminder of the potential dangers posed by heavy rains and the importance of structural integrity in residential buildings.
