Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Desilting of Irrigation Canal from Ukkadam Periyakulam to Karumbukkadai

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected the desilting work of the irrigation canal from Ukkadam Periyakulam to Karumbukkadai on July 11. He instructed officials to immediately commence the desilting operations.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted an on-site inspection of the irrigation canal running from Ukkadam Periyakulam to Karumbukkadai on July 11. The canal, which falls under Ward 86 of the South Zone in Coimbatore Corporation, is due for desilting.



During his visit, Corporation Commissioner Prabakaran assessed the condition of the canal and instructed the officials to immediately begin the desilting operations. The timely desilting of this canal is crucial for maintaining proper water flow and preventing potential flooding issues in the area.



The inspection team accompanying the Commissioner included several key officials. Among them were the Corporation Chief Engineer Anbazhagan, Assistant Commissioner (General) Ilangovan, Ward Councilor Ahmed Kabir, Assistant Town Planner Jayalakshmi, Zonal Health Officer Aandiyappan, and other Corporation officials.
