Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced a change in the scheduled power outage for several areas in Coimbatore. The power cut that was initially planned for today (July 9) in Kavundampalayam, R.S. Puram, and P.N. Palayam sub-stations has been cancelled.

According to a press release from the Coimbatore Electricity Distribution Circle Supervisory Engineer's office, the monthly maintenance work at these sub-stations has been rescheduled for tomorrow (July 10) due to administrative reasons.

The affected areas include Kavundampalayam, R.S. Puram, and P.N. Palayam. Residents and businesses in these localities are advised to plan accordingly for the rescheduled power outage.

Tangedco officials have stated that this postponement will allow them to better coordinate the maintenance activities and minimize inconvenience to the public. They have requested the cooperation of the residents during the maintenance period.

Regular maintenance of sub-stations is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution system. These works help in preventing unexpected breakdowns and improve the overall quality of power supply in the region.
