Applications Invited for Temporary Teaching Positions in Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Schools in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Collector announces vacancies for temporary teaching positions in Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare schools. Applications are invited until July 8, with priority given to local SC/ST candidates.

Coimbatore: The District Collector of Coimbatore, Kranthi Kumar Pati, has announced that applications are being invited for temporary teaching positions in high schools and primary schools under the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department in Coimbatore.

According to the official release, the government has issued orders to temporarily fill the vacant positions of postgraduate teachers and middle school teachers in these schools. The monthly consolidated pay for middle school teachers is set at Rs. 12,000, while postgraduate teachers will receive Rs. 18,000.

Priority for these positions will be given to candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, residents of the area where the school is located or nearby, those living within the school's boundaries, within the union limits of the school's location, and those residing within the district limits.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications along with relevant educational qualification certificates either in person or by post to the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Office. The deadline for submission is 5 PM on July 8.

This initiative aims to address the shortage of teachers in schools catering to Adi Dravidar and tribal communities, ensuring better educational opportunities for these students. The temporary nature of these positions suggests that they may be a stopgap measure until permanent appointments can be made.
