Level Crossing at Vadukapalayam to Close for Traffic from July 5, 2024

Level crossing no. 123 between Pollachi and Kinattukadavu stations will be closed for road traffic from July 5, 2024. Alternate routes have been arranged for different types of vehicles.

Coimbatore: The level crossing no. 123, known as Vadukapalayam gate, located between Pollachi and Kinattukadavu stations, will be closed for road traffic starting from 11:00 AM on July 5, 2024. This closure is expected to affect the regular traffic flow in the area.

To accommodate the change, authorities have arranged an alternate route for road traffic. Vehicles can now use the Vadukapalayam gate-PKD school route as a detour. However, there are restrictions in place for certain types of vehicles.

Vehicles with a height of 3.3 meters and above will not be permitted to pass through the Limited Use Subway (LUS) at this location. For heavy vehicles, authorities have advised using the Palakkad Road overbridge as an alternative route.

The public is requested to take note of these changes and plan their travel accordingly. Local authorities are expected to set up necessary diversions and signage to guide road users during this period.

This closure is likely part of ongoing infrastructure improvements or maintenance work in the area. However, the exact reason for the closure and its duration have not been specified in the initial announcement.

Residents and frequent travelers through this route are advised to stay updated on any further announcements regarding the closure and to follow the traffic guidelines provided by local authorities.
