Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar Resigns Amid Speculations

In a significant political development, Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar has submitted her resignation, following similar recent events in Nellai. This resignation has stirred discussions within DMK circles.

Coimbatore: In a surprising move that has sparked discussions in political circles, Kalpana Anandakumar, the Mayor of Coimbatore, has tendered her resignation. Information emerged on July 2 that Mayor Anandakumar has sent her resignation letter to the top echelons of the DMK. This development comes closely after a similar resignation by the Mayor of Nellai, intensifying speculations within the DMK's political landscape about the reasons behind these sudden departures.

While rumors are rife about her resignation, Kalpana Anandakumar is currently in Chennai reportedly for medical treatment. A senior DMK functionary confirmed her resignation, suggesting she might return in the next day or two.
