Rs 1.90 Lakh Stolen from House in Rathinapuri, Coimbatore

In Rathinapuri, Coimbatore, a house was broken into, and Rs. 1.90 lakh was stolen. The theft happened on July 1, after the homeowner, Meena, left for work.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident at Rathinapuri, a residential area in Coimbatore, a theft of Rs. 1.90 lakh has been reported. Meena, a 47-year-old cleaning worker at an IT company, resides at Madhavan Street in Rathinapuri. On July 1, she locked her house in the morning to head to her job.

Upon returning in the evening, she found the lock of her home forcibly broken. On entering, she discovered that Rs. 1.90 lakh, which was stored inside a cupboard, had been stolen. The stolen cash was part of her savings.

Distraught by the incident, Meena immediately reported the theft to the Rathinapuri Police Station. The police have registered a case and are currently investigating to track down the unidentified thief who broke into Meena’s house.
