Ondipudur to Host International Standard Cricket Stadium, Coimbatore

Coimbatore: In a significant development, Ondipudur in Coimbatore is gearing up to host a new cricket stadium of international standards. This initiative was highlighted by Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin during the ongoing budget session debates for sports grants in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. The proposed stadium will span several acres, incorporating modern facilities to host international cricket matches.




The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation is actively working towards realizing this ambitious project. All necessary land acquisition and related preparatory activities are being expedited to meet the timelines. Meanwhile, DMK members are passionately campaigning, encouraging massive support for the stadium construction. Posters with slogans “Come alone or come in groups, it’s time to start” have been spotted around the city, reflecting the enthusiasm surrounding the development.
